New definition of 'part-time', the effect of which was to clarify the position of teachers in fractional hourly paid employment which had previously been unclear (eg Home Tutors, whose conditions of employment depended on individual employer policy, and Associate Lecturers employed on contracts where the hourly rate was expressed as a fraction of the full-time salary rate. NB Non-fractional (flat-rate) hourly paid employment (ie where there was no relationship with an equivalent annual full-time salary rate) and employment remunerated by capitation fee continued to be excluded until 1 May 1995. |
