This is also referred to as an 8-digit "Pension Reference Number", and for the purposes of this form please omit the final digit (which will be either the number 1 or 2), i.e. 12345671 to be entered as 12 / 34567. If you do not know your TP Reference, please enter the first 2 letters and first 5 digits of your National Insurance Number e.g. AB 12345.

Teachers' Pensions always confirm receipt of emails by issuing an automatic acknowledgement message to the originating email address. This occurs immediately following receipt of the email. If you do not receive an acknowledgement you should check your Junk Mail items and also update any spam filters that monitor your email so that tpmail@capita.co.uk is recognised as a 'friendly sender'.
