Completion of TR6 and TR8 forms when joining a Multi Academy Trust (MAT)

Employers are required to complete a TR6 and TR8 when an employee starts or leaves their employment. However, a query has been received about whether a TR6 / TR8 is required when an Academy (or Studio or Free School) joins or leaves a Multi Academy Trust.
