Next month will see the return of the ‘LGA Annual Teachers’ Pensions Conference’ in both York and London. These will be held on 11^th October at the National Railway Museum in York and 20^th October at Coin Street Conference Centre in London.

The day runs from 9:45- 16:00 with the following confirmed to be covered

• Registration and refreshments (9:45- 10:30)
• Annual Update from the Department for Education (10:35- 11:15)
• Workshops covering Monthly Data Collection, Teachers’ Pensions website review and Addressing the challenges of outsourced payroll (11:15-12:15 and 14:50- 15:50)
• The impact of new Governance arrangements (12:15-12:35)
• Teachers’ Pension update (12:35- 13:30)
• Insight into data (14:00- 14:20)
• Pensions Tax update (14:20- 14:50)
• Feedback from workshops (15:50- 16:00)

The conference will also include talks from both representatives of the Department for Education and the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.

With lunch and refreshments being provided, it promises to be an informative and interesting day for all Local Authorities who take part.
