Transitional Protection consultation response

On 27 March 2023 the Department for Education published a consultation relating to the second part of the Transitional Protection remedy. This related to the Deferred Choice Underpin that will allow affected members to have a choice of benefits, either final salary or career average, for the remedy period (1 April 2015 – 31 March 2022). The consultation ran for 10 weeks and closed on 4 June 2023. The Department has now published its consultation response.

The Teachers’ Pension Scheme (Remediable Service) Regulations 2023 were laid before Parliament on 26 July 2023. You can access the Regulations on the gov.uk website.
