On 27 March 2023 the Department for Education published a consultation relating to the second part of the Transitional Protection remedy. This related to the Deferred Choice Underpin that will allow affected members to have a choice of benefits, either final salary or career average, for the remedy period (1 April 2015 – 31 March 2022). The consultation ran for 10 weeks and closed on 4 June 2023. The Department has now published its consultation response (This link opens in a new window).
