Are you getting ready to retire this summer? Last year we processed over 15,000 pensions to start on September 1st, making sure our members started their retirement on the right track.

You can retire from the age of 55 (although your pension will be actuarially adjusted), or take your full pension from your Normal Pension Age. It’s simple and easy to do. All you need to do is to complete the form on our website via MPO. Your employer will then complete their part and we can start to process your application.

You can submit your retirement application up to four months before you wish to retire. For summer retirements (1 June – 1 September) we ask that you get your application in sooner rather than later due to the high numbers we receive.

To help make the process as quick as possible, please check your service history is correct before submitting your application. You can do this through your MPO account (This link opens in a new window). If there are any errors please get in touch with your employer as we rely on them to provide the correct information. We won’t be able to process accurate pension benefits without the correct information from your employer(s).
