Changes to the Scheme administrator – what you need to know

We’re making some improvements to the way you access and manage your pension, and we want you to be the first to know what’s changing, and what’s staying the same.

The Department for Education is focussed on making sure the Teachers’ Pension Scheme continues to meet the needs of members like you, now and in the future.  Following a competitive procurement process, a new Teachers’ Pension Scheme administrator has been appointed: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).

TCS is one of the world’s leading providers of pension and payroll services. They work with millions of members globally and have a strong track record of pension delivery, service standards and an ability to introduce technology that improves user experience.

What does this mean for you?

The Scheme itself is not changing. Your pension remains secure, and your benefits and entitlements stay exactly the same. However, from Summer 2026, you’ll start to notice updates on how you interact with Teachers’ Pensions. My Pension Online is getting a refresh, with a new layout, easier navigation and a few new features – including a dedicated secure app so you can access your pension on the go if you want to. You’ll also be able to contact the Scheme by phone, via the UK-based call centre, and post as before.

Support at every step

As part of the change, we’ve involved some members in shaping how the new portal works, and their feedback is helping us improve the experience. Thank you – we’re committed to continuing this user-led approach.

We’ll share more details in the coming months, but for now, there is nothing you need to do.

For all service-related enquiries, you can contact Teachers’ Pensions in the usual way. If you've any questions about the transition, you can send these to TCS at memberquery@teacherscorp.com. Please note TCS are unable to respond to individual enquiries at this time, but they’ll collate your queries to develop frequently asked questions to publish on the Teachers’ Pensions website. Please don't share any personal identifiable information.
