With effect from 1 April 2022, all active members of the final salary arrangement transitioned into the career average scheme for the Teachers’ Pension Scheme for future service.
Be reassured that any previous service you had in the final salary scheme is safe. The changes apply to members who had remained in the final salary scheme and will now build up service in the career average scheme (PDF, 65 KB) (This link opens in a new window).

We’d also like to remind those of you who moved from the final salary scheme to the career average scheme on 1 April 2022, the 12-month window to complete a transfer into the Scheme from another pension provider closes on 31 March 2023. 

If you want to complete a transfer into the Scheme the transfer in acceptance slip, which accompanies the Transfer In estimate letter, must be received by us no later than that deadline date.
