Don't enrol, continue to assess the teacher

You have determined that you do not need to auto enrol the employee into the Scheme because they are not an eligible jobholder, they are leaving your employment, or they hold a valid tax protection certificate.

In this case, there are no requirements in relation to the Scheme though you must tell the member. You should, however, continually assess whether or not the employee needs to be auto enrolled.

An employee may need to be auto enrolled in the future if they:

Once an employee has been enrolled into the Scheme whilst being an eligible jobholder, if they opt out again there is no requirement to monitor them. They will be assessed again on the 3rd anniversary of the staging date (the Re-enrolment date).
