The main features of the career average arrangement are:
Where a member was an active scheme member immediately before 1 April 2012 and was within 10 years of their Normal Pension Age they continue to be in the final salary arrangement and their service is protected. These are referred to as Protected Members.
Where a member was an active scheme member immediately before the 1 of April 2012 and, was more than 10 years but less than 13.5 years away from their Normal Pension Age, they remain in the final salary arrangement beyond 1 April 2015 and enter the career average arrangement at individual dates.. These members are known as tapered members until they pass their transition date, the date they move into the career average arrangement.
The Scheme Arrangement reports will be in CSV format, and will only be accessible from the Teachers’ Pension Scheme Employer Portal, in the Scheme Arrangement Notification area of the Pportal. An email notification will be issued when a report is available for downloading.
