Corrections made to the Scheme Arrangement report and member print

After receiving feedback from employers we’ve identified some issues with the Scheme Arrangements report and the member print, which have now been rectified.

The issue was our system that assesses the Scheme arrangement for members, was interpreting the date passed through by the member print and Scheme arrangement report as the date that a member’s break from service ended.

Therefore, a member without any service or with a break in service starting on or after 1 April 2012 and hence no protection; or on a break in service of more than 5 years that started before 1 April 2012 and hence has no protection was appearing in the member print and Scheme Arrangement report as starting in the career average arrangement from the following day.

This was also interpreted as being a loss of tapered protection as of that date (as the member didn’t transition on 1 April 2015) rather than the correct interpretation, which is had the member been in the Scheme on 1 April 2015 they’d have been in career average.
