We recently provided you with information on errors on the TR6 and TR8 forms (news story 13/05/15) and the intention to make the email and address fields mandatory after 22 June. After feedback from employers in relation to concerns over the timescale being given to change systems to provide this data, the TR6 and TR8 fields relating to the home and email addresses have gone back to discretionary.

We’ll be consulting with our stakeholders to identify an appropriate timescale to deliver system changes which include the home address as mandatory fields. In the meantime we recommend you keep looking at the website for further updates. Email addresses will be discretionary however we would like to remind you of the importance of providing a work email address.
