Issues with STU files not automatically being processed

Since 3 July, we’ve had over 100 STU files which haven’t been able to be processed automatically through the Employer Portal including several Annual Returns.

The files are not processing due to a series of errors including:

  • files being submitted as Excel (.XLSX)
  • ASR files not being submitted as CSV and not named SCHEDPRINT e.g. ASR.csv
  • TR6’s and TR8’s being submitted using the old templates
  • Monthly Contributions being submitted under the wrong filename e.g. Contributions Monthly Breakdown 2015 Apr v11 (1).csv

To make sure that files are auto processed and are therefore being dealt with accordingly, we encourage you to:-

  • Ensure all files are submitted as .CSV files and not .XLSX
  • Ensure ASR file names are not changed and have ‘SCHEDPRINT’ and the school reference number within their title.

Check that you’re using the correct templates when submitting a TR6 or TR8 form. The current versions are:-

  • TR6 – Version 3.2 which now includes the address fields
  • TR8 – Version 3.2 which now includes the address fields
