On-boarding update

As you’ll know, MDC is now available for all employers. Over 507 employers  representing 58,000 members on-boarded during April, with another 18,000 members joining in May.

The window for June on-boarding is likely to close soon but we’re on-boarding for July and the following months. We’re keen to understand your plans for MDC to ensure we can give each employer the on-boarding date that works for you. So we need to hear from you.

To help with the demand for MDC, we’ve set up a dedicated team who are there to support you through the three month on-boarding process. They’ll help with all queries including template issues, delegation forms and service queries to ensure you’re up and running on the live site as soon as possible.

What are the benefits of joining MDC?

MDC provides multiple benefits to both employers and members. These include:

• Real time accurate information for your members (service is more up to date)
• Easier to submit – Teachers’ Pensions require fewer data fields making administration easier
• In most cases employers and members no longer need to complete Certificates of Re-employment.
• MDC reduces the amount of  service errors on member records, reducing re-work for employers

Monthly contributions breakdown slip still required by MDC users

Please note that all employers who are now providing MDC returns including contributions amounts must continue to provide us with the monthly contributions tiered breakdown slip by  7^th of each month.

The MDC contributions data is not being utilised to allow Teachers’ Pensions to reconcile back to your payment at this time. We’ll notify employers of any changes to the existing process with contributions breakdown slips well in advance of any future change.
