Changes to Child Pension Renewal

There’s been a change regarding the requirement for a child declaration when a child applies for, or is renewing, a Teachers’ Pensions pension and is over the age of 17 or in full-time education.

Previously the declaration form sent to the child had to be signed by the child/parent/guardian and the establishment (college/university) that the child attends.

We no longer require the declaration form to be signed by an establishment. The declaration form has to be signed by the child, parent or guardian only.
