Our new online hub, Pension PlanIt is for teachers who have just qualified and are entering the profession for the first time. The aim is to help them understand the importance of their pension.

Pension PlanIt includes videos created specifically for NQT’s, an introductory factsheet to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme, along with links to our calculators. We’ve developed this in conjunction with NQTs and from their feedback we’ve included important information such as what is a teacher’s pension, how is it made up and how do I find out more?

The next phase is sharing this content online, specifically using our Social Media sites. We’re also working with the NCTL to provide email updates to NQTs later this year.
