You may recall we’ve previously advised you of the work we’re undertaking to align our records with those held by HMRC in respect of guaranteed minimum pensions for our members.

The GMP reconciliation exercise is well underway with 88,000 deferred and retired member records investigated to date.  Initially we anticipated that contact with employers would be required in order to clarify issues with service records; however this hasn’t been necessary to date due the comprehensive investigations completed within the GMP team.    

Investigations will continue over the coming months on the remaining 90,000 deferred and retired members, with the Active member reconciliation expected to begin early next year.  We’ll continue to ensure that contact with employers is kept to a minimum.
