MDC update

Of the 713, 389 active members in our Scheme, 276,425 are now serviced live by MDC or are within the 3 month on-boarding phase.

A total of 3,764 employers are already live or started the on-boarding phase in May.

We’re working with employers to ensure they meet the December 2017 deadline for on-boarding to MDC. This has included holding workshops with employers and Payroll Providers to gain feedback, from those in the on-boarding process and those already live, to help continuously improve the process.

We’ll shortly be providing a list of payroll and software providers who we’re aware can provide an MDC solution that meets the guidelines criteria. We’ll let you know via the bulletin when the list is available on the website.

Change of member contact details

We’ve had some issues relating to member contact details submitted via MDC.

An issue occurs when a member changes their postal address/e-mail address via My Pension Online without informing their employer. As a consequence, employers are confirming an old address when they send in their MDC data, so the Teachers’ Pensions record is reverting to an old, incorrect address.

Please can we ask you to check you have your employees latest contact details and to also encourage them to let you know when they’ve changed details.
