Data Protection and the new GDPR – Countdown to May 2018

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is new European Union (EU) legislation. When it comes into force on 25 May 2018 it will replace the UK’s Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA), without the need for further national legislation. Organisations will need to be compliant by that date. This is the biggest change to Data Protection legislation in a generation.

As an organisation that handles a considerable amount of data, ensuring that we meet the existing requirements of the DPA and forthcoming requirements of the GDPR is core to our approach.

Look out for future updates and ensure that you’re aware of your own responsibilities in relation to the protection of data.
