Change to the opt out process

We’ve previously advised you of upcoming changes to the Opt Out process. We can now confirm that from the week commencing 19th March, members will only be able to opt out of the Scheme by completing the online form (unless they have requested otherwise).

This will create a simpler process where members can complete Part A through their My Pension Online (MPO) account. Once completed this automatically come directly through to you via the Employer Portal to complete Part B.

Improvements to the online form include:-

  • you as an employer having the ability to reject the form (under particular circumstances)
  • improved access for those members who previously couldn’t log on to MPO (such as repaid members), who’ll now be able to view certain parts of the platform, therefore removing the barrier to completing the form online.
