Can we just remind employers that when they are reporting overtime on their MDC submission, that overtime is not a separate member contract.

Any overtime amount should be reported in the month it was earned and included in the overtime column of the MDC template and not included in the Full time salary rate.

This should be included regardless of whether the member is in the Final Salary or Career Average arrangement. However, overtime is only pensionable in the Career Average arrangement.

If somebody has more than one contract of employment at the same school, the concurrent calculator must be used to calculate the service to be recorded on the MDC submission
