Exclusions to the Teachers' Pension Scheme

The Teachers’ Pension Scheme regulations prevent individuals who have a "financial interest" in their independent school, other than a right to receive a salary, from being a member of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme. If you have a member of the Scheme who has a shareholding interest in the school their employment is not pensionable in the Teachers’ Pension Scheme and they must be provided with alternative pension provision by you.
