As you can imagine, September is the most popular time of year for members to retire and take their pension.

We’d like to remind you that anyone wanting to retire up to 4 September 2020, will need to submit their retirement application as soon as possible.

In order to guarantee that payments are made at the beginning of September, we need to receive applications by no later than 14 August.

As PDF application forms can now be completed digitally as well as via My Pension Online, and we suggest that these methods are used to help speed up the process.

We’ll be in touch with members who have submitted an application, to let them know it’s being processed, so there’s no need to contact us to check on the progress. We’ll only be able to provide actual details of a member’s pension once all relevant checks have been made, which is usually nearer to the payable date of the award.
