The public consultation on the government’s proposals to address the discrimination caused by the transitional protection arrangements, when the reformed scheme was introduced in 2015, has now closed.

The Government will now consider all the responses that have been received and following their analysis of them, will publish its response.

It will take some time before any changes to individuals’ pensions are implemented as they’ll require legislation and development of our systems and processes. Please be assured, information will continue to be shared so members are kept up to date.

While we’re waiting for government’s response, we’ll continue to work with the Department for Education on our plans to meet the outcome of the consultation for the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.
