As we’ve previously informed you, the government is introducing changes to address the discrimination caused by the transitional protection arrangement when the reformed (Career Average) scheme was introduced in 2015.

As there’ll need to be changes made to members’ pension records for the remedy period (the consultation suggested this would be from 1 April 2015 to 31 March 2022), it’ll be important to ensure that member records are up to date and that you retain service and salary information in case we have queries about it in the future.

We’ll be able to provide you with more information on what those changes to member pension benefits will be once the government has provided their response to the consultation held in June 2020.
