Following your feedback, updates have been made to the MCR template and the appropriate validation routines. We’ve released a new version of the template, which is now available on the website (This link opens in a new window)and Employer Portal.

The two main changes that we’ve made to improve your experience are:

• Removal of Overtime Validation: if overtime exceeds 50% for full-time members or 90% for part-time members it’ll no longer create an error. Instead, when you click data and move to section B, you’ll be presented with a pop up advising which lines of data exceed these limits. If you’re happy the lines are correct then you’ll click the ‘YES’ box and it’ll allow you to proceed. You can click the ‘NO’ box and review the lines before you proceed.

  Validation will only work if you submit your data using our MCR Template. If you directly submit data from a payroll extract, overtime amounts that exceed the 50 or 90% receptively, will still produce a ‘STOP’ error.

• There’s now also a 1p rounding tolerance on member and employer contributions, which has been added to reduce errors.
