Preparing members for retirement

Retirement applications are rolling in for the summer and we ask that as an employer, you do your part to ensure we get it right.

We ask that your service and salary submissions are correct as this is key to helping us calculate retirement quotes and processing applications accurately, reducing recalculation and overpayment situations. Being able to get a member’s retirement benefits right the first time will mean we have to complete less revisions, resulting in a positive experience for you, your employees and us. Those affected by Transitional Protection will be provided with their Remediable Service Statement (RSS), which is an extra step in their application. If you’ve staff who are considering retiring before January 2025, we’d encourage them to submit their applications six months before their proposed retirement date.
