Local Authority maintained schools

 

If you’re a maintained school within a Local Authority, we’d like to remind you that even if you choose to use a payroll provider, all submissions and corresponding payments must come through the Local Authority. They mustn’t be sent directly from the payroll provider or maintained school. This is because the Local Authority is classed as the employer, and it’s the employer’s responsibility for providing accurate data and payments in a timely manner, even when using payroll provider services.
