Compulsory fields - TR6 and TR8 forms

This story has been updated. For the latest information click here.

Please accept our apologies, it appears that there were a couple of errors on the recently uploaded TR6 and TR8 templates. Also with the changes to the Scheme it seems we’ve omitted to advise you that we’re making the address field compulsory, which we understand is causing problems.

We appreciate that you need time to make changes; therefore this element will be removed for eight weeks, from 27 April – 22 June, to enable you to change your systems to accommodate the changes. In addition to the address field, the email field will also be mandatory.  Also when the templates are uploaded on 22 June they’ll be improved based on feedback we’ve received.

The reason for the change is to ensure that the Scheme is meeting the requirements of the Pensions Regulator around holding ‘common’ and ‘conditional’ data, which are now needed by the Regulator for all public sector schemes.

Additionally the provision of emails will enable us to contact your employees to encourge them to sign up to My Pension Online which will benefit both parties.
