Employing part-time staff

If you have any members of staff who are employed part-time, it’s good practice to enquire whether they are also currently working part-time in another school.

If they are and they haven’t opted out of the Scheme, please advise them to inform their first employer to avoid any arrears of contributions accruing.

It’s also advisable that when hiring a new member of staff that you check whether they have any Additional Pension elections in place. This will ensure the correct level of deductions of contributions is made to avoid any arrears of contributions accruing.
