If you’re aware of any members who’ve got a pension in another public sector pension scheme, we ask that you encourage them to complete the Previous Pensionable Public Service Questionnaire form on our website.

Members have the option to transfer their previous pensionable service into the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (there's a time limit on when they’re able to do this) or, if they choose to leave it where it is, it may provide them with Salary Link protection. The Salary Link is the protection introduced with the move to career average which allows us to use the salaries in career average service when calculating any final salary benefits to which members are entitled.

We’ll also need to be informed if member’s are affected by Transitional Protection changes.
