Rejection of opt-out forms due to time delay

We’ve recently received a number of opt-out forms from employers that have been submitted more than 4 months after the member has signed them.

It’s important that we receive an opt-out form quickly as the time delay means we have to reject the opt-out and return the form. This results in frustration on the part of the member who continues to remain in the Scheme and continues to pay contributions, as do you as the employer.

Please be aware that a form will be treated as a late submission and rejected if it’s received 3 months after the member has signed it.
