When completing your April MDC file, please remember that for Annual Allowance purposes, HMRC requires service for April to be split, with one line covering 1 April to 5 April, and the next covering 6 April to 30 April. When submitting your file, if you haven’t already done this, you’ll receive an email explaining that there’s an error with your file. Every line will be sent back to you with the following message:-

'Error - service line has been rejected for the following reason: You have tried to submit service which spans 5th April 2020, please re-submit service ensuring there is a split at 5th April 2020.'

If you receive this error please ensure this is actioned as soon as possible in order to ensure we have the correct data from you.
