Susan Anyan

Susan has over 30 years’ experience of working with and advising trustee boards of UK pension schemes and is a member of the Association of Professional Pension Trustees.

She began her career by working in in-house pension roles, latterly as group pensions manager for a large construction company.  She then went on to work in senior roles for two leading actuarial and benefits consultancies, where she provided strategic, technical and administration support to a range of pension schemes.  In 2011, she changed career path to become an independent trustee and to act as a dedicated governance resource on a number of pension boards.

Throughout her career, Susan has worked on a number of key projects including amendments to administration procedures and systems, supplier procurement exercises and a variety of scheme change projects.

Her focus is on helping to drive strategy, governance and operational effectiveness, working with boards to make best use of time, resources and advisers.  She believes that getting the best out each of a scheme’s key stakeholders is critically important, with a clear emphasis on working together to deliver good quality outcomes.
