Jo Maguire

Jo has over 25 years’ experience of working with and advising trustee boards of UK pension schemes. She is currently a trustee director of the PwC legacy DB schemes and an Independent Member of the Judicial Pension Schemes Pension Board.

A qualified Chartered Accountant, Jo retired from PwC in December 2018. During her time there she helped to build a thriving pensions audit and assurance practice providing audit and assurance services to a wide range of public and private sector pension schemes.

As a trustee since 2007, Jo has been involved in a wide variety of projects including overseeing the transition of the scheme administration from an in-house team to a third party provider, reviewing the governance arrangements of the schemes and, more recently, implementing GMP equalisation for the schemes.

With a practical and pragmatic approach, Jo strives to ensure that scheme advisers and stakeholders work well together to deliver the best outcomes.

Outside of work, Jo enjoys going to the gym and taking part in challenges such as Hyrox.
