Retired Members – P60s are on their way

If you’re a retired member of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme you’ll be receiving your P60 and accompanying newsletter in the post this month.

Until then you can access the newsletter here. Your P6O is sent annually and confirms the pension you’ve received and the tax you’ve paid in the tax year.

Your pension will increase if you are 55 or over, or in receipt of an ill health or dependant’s pension. However, the increase you get will depend on the date when your pension began. If your pension has been in payment for a full year or more on 6 April 2015 you will receive an increase of 1.2%.

You may receive a lower percentage if you left pensionable employment on or after 21 April 2015. If you left pensionable employment on or after 21 March 2015, you will receive no increase this year.

If you have any queries about your P60 please contact HMRC for further information.

If you move house or change your bank details, you’ll need to let us know so we can ensure your details are correct. You can do this quickly and easily by signing up to My Pension Online.
