Protecting yourself online

With the rise of cyber crime and scams it’s important to keep safe online. Here’s some top tips to protect you and your pension.
  • Always check the sender’s email address matches with the website address
  • Check if the email contains any spelling or grammatical errors details
  • Check the website is secure before you enter any details. Look for the ‘https’ at the start of the web address and the padlock next to the address bar
  • Keep your internet security software up to date, and run regular scans and system updates
  • If you’re concerned about an unsolicited email, don’t click any links or download attachments
  • If you’ve clicked on a link in the email, don’t supply any information on the website that may open
  • Never share personal or security information via email, web chat or on a website that’s been sent to you via email. We’d never ask you to share any personal data with us in this way.
