Can you support children and young people's education in the new year?

If you want to support the national effort to keep education going, get in touch with a local supply agency (a list can be found here (This link opens in a new window)) and return to teaching for a limited time.

Even if you left teaching several years ago, you can still register with a supply agency today to teach in the spring term.

Bring your experience back into the classroom and to make it simple the supply agency will handle new DBS checks for you.

The reason you got into teaching is the reason to come back.

Please note returning to teaching, other than through a supply agency, may affect your pension if you’re already in receipt of it. Before moving forward with teaching in the new year, please read our ‘Returning to work’ section online, which explains your salary of reference, the process of abatement and what happens if you have an Ill-health pension already in payment.

We’d also advise you seek independent financial advice about any decision which may affect your pension.
