We’ve recently been running member presentations to help you understand more about your pension. Following feedback, we’ve decided to break the presentations up into smaller topics to ensure they’re as relevant as they can be for you. The three topics we’ll be covering are in these separate sessions are:

• Planning for Retirement – 22/09/22 - These sessions are ideal if you’re looking to retire in the near future. We’ll cover the different retirement options available, how pensions are calculated and paid, the application process and how to check your pension record on MPO.
• An introduction for new starters to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme – 20/10/22 - These sessions will be helpful if you’re new to the Scheme. We’ll cover everything you need to know as a new starter, to understand the pension and the online tools available to help you manage it.
• Getting the most from your teacher’s pension – 17/11/22 - These sessions will give you a better understanding of the Scheme and the options available to you, in order to increase your benefits at retirement.
