Our member training is a great opportunity for you and our members to find out more about Teachers’ Pensions.

In our tailored presentations we’ll discuss everything from starting out in the Scheme to planning for retirement.

Overview of our sessions:

  • Introduction for new starters – We’ll cover everything members need to know as a new starter.

  • Getting the most from your teacher’s pension – Helps members develop an overall understanding of the Scheme and look at ways of increasing their benefits at retirement. Here are some of the topics that will be covered during the session:
    • Paying into their pension
    • Retirement options
    • Increasing benefits
    • My Pension Online
  • Planning for Retirement - Discover different retirement options, how pensions are calculated and paid, the application process and how to check your pension record. Here are some of the topics that will be covered during the session:
    • Final salary and career average arrangements
    • Transitional Protection
    • Types of retirement
    • Retirement process

All presentations are hosted live via Microsoft Teams and offer the ability to ask questions. 

Microphones will be turned off automatically, but members will have the opportunity to ask questions through the chat facility. We can only answer general questions and won’t be able to talk about individual circumstances.
