Answer:
If a member is automatically or contractually enrolling on a start date supplied in your first MCR submission, then yes. If this was prior to this date, then no, as it would need to be done using the enrolment template.
-
Answer:
No, this should only be filled if you have a new member who needs to be contractual enrolled, or if it’s your auto enrolment staging date. In both instances, the 'start date' provided for the row of data will be used as the effective date of the enrolment.
Please make sure that the field is left blank if a new enrolment doesn't need to be added.
We have received some submissions where the field has been incorrectly populated for all rows of member data. This would mean that all your members have been enrolled into the Teachers’ Pensions Scheme even if they have opted out.
Please make sure this is only provided if the member is enrolling on the start date provided.
-
Answer:
If a member enrols into the Scheme and had an opt out election prior to this date, the service prior to this date will remain opted out and the service from the enrolment date onwards will be pensionable. The previous opt out election is not removed from the member’s record.
-
Answer:
No, the member can still submit opt out forms, and this can be completed by you for submission to us.
